One way to “lock” your emails away from prying eyes without using S/MIME encryption is to use Google’s Confidential Mode. Under Certificates and Algorithms, you should see the certificates appearing next to Signing Certificate and Encryption Certificate. Step 13: Create a unique security settings name or leave it as the default. Step 12: Under Encrypted Email, click the Settings button. Your certificate should already be selected for signing and encryption by default.
